To manage diabetes type II, it is crucial to check glucose levels daily using a blood glucose monitor. Such equipment needs to be both accurate and easy to use. Personally, I prefer using the Contour Next One because it fulfills both conditions perfectly with some extras.
I had used other blood glucose monitors previously such as Abbott’s Freestyle Lite and OneTouch Ultra2. Both glucose monitors were good, but I wanted one with iPhone App support to easily keep track of my measurements.
As I searched for a good blood glucose monitor, I found Contour Next One. Not only is the device accurate, it logs and syncs measurements using an iPhone App.
It includes a useful feature called Second-Chance Sampling, which lets you retry if the first attempt fails. Second-Chance Sampling helped me save some testing strips when I couldn’t draw enough blood for the glucose monitor to measure.
Another feature of the Contour Next One App is that it can sync with the Health App on my phone. This gave me a better view of my glucose measurements over time.
